Construction and working:
Taper Pins are preferred for parts, which have to be taken apart frequently and when driving out the cylindrical pin would tend to wear the holes and also to very accurate constructed tools and gauge which have to be kept in absolute alignment. Taper pins Soft are manufactured to IS: 2393: 63 (Din - 1) & IS: 6688: 72 for metric series and B.S. 46 for inch series. They are made from C - 40 or EN - 8 materials. Rate of taper is 1: 50.
